DERKZ (@derkz) is an international and multidisciplinary artist based in Windsor, Ontario and specializes in creating large exterior murals using spray paint as his main medium. He has a unique style combining a fusion of his roots from graffiti blended with fine art techniques that are vivid and dynamic. Along with showcasing various imagery, he specializes in painting portraits using monochromatic values mixed with extremely striking/vibrant colour palettes. With over a decade of experience holding a spray can, he overcomes adversity in mural artistry which allows him to produce high-quality murals under any condition.
Since the beginning of his journey with street graffiti, he transitioned to mural artistry professionally and has painted hundreds of large-scale murals over his career. He’s had the privilege of painting for celebrities such as Vanilla Ice, Jake Paul (YouTube/Boxer), Tanner Fox(YouTuber), and more. DERKZ’s work has allowed him to paint internationally, and he has been involved with some wonderful festivals and projects in Canada, the USA, Ireland, The United Kingdom, and France.
