Jared Betts’s (@jaredbetts) paintings are in collections in prominent cities such as Paris, Toronto, Montreal, LA & Reykjavik. Holding a BFA from NSCAD University, Jared has exhibited in over 200 exhibitions across the globe, including in Tokyo, Paris, New York, London, Iceland, Germany, Costa Rica, and Canada. He is the recipient of numerous grants, including thirteen artsnb grants, a Nova Scotia Tourism, Culture and Heritage grant, and three New Brunswick Tourism, Culture and Heritage grants.
Jared has taken part in several international artist residencies, from the land of fire and ice in Iceland, a castle in Ireland to spending half a year in the jungles of Costa Rica resulting in an exhibition at the National Gallery of Costa Rica. Jared Betts is currently preparing for an upcoming exhibition at Katzman Art Projects in Halifax, Nova Scotia scheduled to open on July 19th of this year. In fall 2024, a publication highlighting the last 15 years of his painting career is slated for release through St. Thomas University. Furthermore, Jared has secured a residency at Beaverbrook Art Gallery in New Brunswick for 2025. With over 20 years of experience in creating murals and graffiti worldwide, Jared continues to leave his neon fairy art child mark on various communities.
