Take a guided tour of the amazing murals on Quinpool Road, during Jane’s Walk Halifax
Walks will be led by local artist and the creative force behind the Halifax Mural Festival, Mike Burt. Hear about the artists and what the inspiration was behind their creations, what techniques were used and learn more about the impact these murals and others like them have on the community.
Walks will take place May 4th and 5th starting at 2:00pm. Each walk will start outside at Dilly Dally (6100 Quinpool Road) and end at the Oxford Taproom, take approximately an hour and will go ahead, rain or shine!
Jane’s Walk is an annual festival of free, community-led walking conversations inspired by Jane Jacobs, who believed cities should be fun, and changed urban planning forever. It encourages people to share stories about their neighbourhoods, discover unseen aspects of their communities, and use walking as a way to connect with their neighbours.
